Different plant life, one of them is colour coded.

“Example” Mushroom platforms can help player clear large gaps while keeping everything organic looking.

Because there are enemies in the level its only natural for them to have a small outpost, they have set up base near the cave you must get to.. one can be on the platform and the other can be patrolling the stone pillar path behind it.

Other type of mushrooms, this one can be used as a spring, when you stand on the top the four bits in the middle lower including the head of it and once you get of you bounce to a higher place.(William Trail)

Hey Guys I’m trying out this new thing of making concept art. Do you know how to put a Maya file in Photoshop? Basically what I want to happened is to get my model in Maya, snapshot a pose/angle and then put in in Photoshop with a clear background. At the moment, what is happening is whenever I snapshot in Maya, I get this annoying black background! I only want to get the actual image so I can play around with the layer.

Starting to model our character. Very low poly and thinking of animating it by vertex as the Master AL suggested. Any comments guys?
 
 
04- Pratically finished. Just need some little adjustments and I trying to decide how to build the fins on the tail.

Heres one design for the plant monster I’ve done, i was thinking the stem part of it can lash out at you when the person approaches, I also thought that it could grab you and swallow you into it but thats not an option for now.

I was just thinking… maybe I don’t need to make a 3d mesh of the tree trunk? since is so big and it acts like a background, maybe we should just do it by 2d right? this is to save polygons.

Different Environment Designs.

1st image from top left is an alien Jungle with huge trees growing out of it which cover the sky’s

Heres some quick designs of the crash site and the hostile alien environment.
Three versions of the map I created based on the group chat and the tutorial with Al.

Quick sketch for the checkpoint idea not sure if you done it yet but here it is, I call it the warriors shrine it is made to resemble the spear and shows the race of the lizard people that it is a safe place for the warriors of there planet to rest.

As i researched, one of the processes to build a character is making its sillouette consistent. Therefore I tried a new method to improve the main character. Its also due to the influences of the new artists i’ve been looking at. [Pedro Colaco]

Not being satisfied by the previous pattern, i tried a new version in black and white, so it would be easier to achieve the match i wanted. on the right side are the shades of grey i used. What do you think guys? [Pedro Colaco]

Colour version of the last B&W drawing. I suggest that the colors of the jungle would be like the background of this illustration, because it is the complement color of the ones used on the character and it will stand out on the game. Also since it is an alien jungle it would have an unique fixture. Reds, oranges and ocres… [Pedro Colaco]
